Design Portfolio
hello, I’m
Who Am I:
I’m David “D3” Davis, a UX designer, web developer, and strength coach focused on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), fitness gamification, and immersive UI/UX design. With my creative agency, 3-Dimensional Pro Studios, and wellness-tech brand GrowthSZN.online, I merge design, coding, and coaching into scalable, accessible tech solutions.
My mission is to help others grow through design, fitness, and interactive media.
-
My work is built on a human-centered approach that blends Kinesiology and UX/Web Design. Whether I am coaching a client in the gym or designing a digital product, the process is the same: understand the human, design the system, and refine the experience.
Both fields rely on observation, testing, and iteration to help people achieve better outcomes. In fitness, that outcome might be improved strength, mobility, or health. In UX and web design, it might be a smoother user journey, better engagement, or clearer communication.
To bring these disciplines together, I use a three-phase approach.
-
In UX and web design, the first step is understanding the user’s goals, behaviors, and challenges.
This phase includes:
User research
Journey mapping
Information architecture
Accessibility considerations
Identifying friction points
The goal is to design experiences that are intuitive and meaningful for the people using them.
Good design is not about aesthetics alone — it is about removing barriers so people can accomplish their goals more easily.
-
Kinesiology applies the same philosophy, but in a physical context.
Before creating a training program, a coach must understand:
Movement patterns
Physical limitations
Strength and mobility levels
Recovery capacity
Behavioral motivation
Through fitness assessments, movement analysis, and structured programming, training becomes personalized to the individual.
Just like UX design, kinesiology focuses on optimizing the system around the human, not forcing the human into a rigid system.
-
The final phase is where these two disciplines come together.
Both UX design and kinesiology rely on:
Observation
Testing
Iteration
Feedback
Continuous improvement
Whether I’m designing a fitness app, a website, or a training program, the goal is the same:
Create systems that empower people to perform better, learn faster, and achieve meaningful results.
This integrated approach allows me to design solutions that support both digital experiences and human performance.
