When my friend Carol gave me four training sessions with Coach David at the gym we attended he assessed my abilities and started me off exactly where I needed to start which was small movements. My balance was poor. I found it hard to carry things from room to room. Also standing for any period of time much less walking any distance was a problem. I was tied to my home for fear the elements outside would cause me to fall and injury myself. I had to confess to my trainer that if the weather was bad I wouldn't be able to make it to the gym. He reassured me that it was no problem because he was working, developing an on-line gym. My mind was blown. I could stay at home and be free from the anxiety and embarrassment of exercising in front of other people. My confidence soared, and my balance has improved. Exercises I started out leaning on a wall to perform, I can now stand on my own. I don't have to say I can't do that but I can't do that yet. With the encouragement, care and of course the proper exercises for my needs, David is giving me back life.
